TWENTY ONE YEARS OF RADICAL
MAS IN LONDON |
|
|
|
Established as a Radical Mas Band in 1983, People’s World
(formerly People’s War) Carnival Band has brought a Carnival
Costume Band onto the streets of Notting Hill at Carnival
time for the past 21 years. We have a policy of ensuring
that the themes we portray have something to say about the
world around us and there is always an historically
educational element. Our ethics are steeped in a commitment
to ‘Tell It Like It Is’ and hence our themes also try to
make social commentary about relevant issues. Although
serious subject matter is covered, themes are portrayed with
humour and satire. |
